After many years of procrastination I finally took the plunge and purchased a wood fired bath heater coil system. Purchase and delivery was quick, even with a few questions back and forth.
It arrived in one big box complete with instructions, I found the YouTube version much easier to understand. I had decided to install it on a big fibreglass bath I already had and only needed to purchase a bigger hole than I already had. The fibreglass bath has slanted walls so hole placement was critical as the bottom pipe was angled towards the ground.
Once all fitted up I filled the tub, water from the tank was 8c so took awhile to heat to high 20’s but to mid 40’s was much quicker, so be careful as mine ended up at 48 and I had to cool it down.
Second time using it was much easier as I cut shorter wood for the coil and monitored the temp more closely, not adding any more wood after water reached the mid 20’s.
The result, a beautiful hot bath under the stars, multiple times now.

We purchased a coil kit for a cast iron outdoor bath. I can’t tell you how pleased we were with the customer service from Mateo in Victoria. He was extremely helpful in answering question re the set up. He made himself available. The coil works perfectly, the bath in our case takes 30-40 minutes to heat up. There is really something special about sitting in a body of water that progressively heats up. It is relaxation another level.

As a U.S. customer, I was surprised to receive email during shipping from UPS charging import and brokerage fees: $79 if paid while in transit, $91 if paid on delivery. I understand this is due to U.S. trade policy but would prefer to have known in advance.

Nonetheless, I look forward to setting up the tub and easing my way past the unwelcome surprise!

Works perfectly and gets plenty hot if you want it to…:which we do so we can jump into a frigid Lake Superior year round!
