Easy Portability
The Salty Barrel is the world’s most portable hot tub.
It fits in the back of a small car, weighs just 27kg, and packs down into a carry bag for easy transport to any destination.
No Power? No Problem.
All you need is water and fire.
As the fire heats the water in the coil, it naturally rises and flows back into the tub. Cold water is pulled into the bottom of the coil to be heated — no pump, no wires.
This process is called thermosyphon — and it works like magic.
Built for the Wild
The Salty Barrel is made to be thrown in the back of a truck (or camel), dragged through the wilderness, and set up anywhere.
The stainless steel coil and heavy-duty, fire-resistant tarpaulin tub are built to handle the elements.

Four adults can relax in the tub while others sit around the fire. Cook over the fire with a BBQ grill or wok to enjoy flame-grilled food out in the wild.

Weight: 27kg (59lbs) total packed weight. Everything packs down into a carry bag for easy transport.
Heating time: About 2 hours in normal conditions. In snow or sub-zero temperatures, heating takes 2–3 hours. Using an insulated ground mat improves heating time, especially in the cold.

I was looking for a portable tub to take on trips where we set up basecamp and hike around from there. This tub was perfect! Most of the set up fits into the included dry bag and the coil is lightweight and easy to move. We set up along a stream and used it for 6 days in a row, it was such a highlight of the trip! We found that if we wanted to fully submerge and soak the 4 person tub comfortably fit 2 large adults, and 3-4 could sit or kneel together. I chose salty barrel over other options because of their responsiveness to questions I had and their shipping speed and now I see I made the right choice
I can't believe how awesome this thing is. I took it to the woods with my family of 4, and we got to enjoy a perfect hot tub miles away from any sort of infrastructure. It is of course more manual than any sort of typical built in hot tub, but if you like camping or being out in nature then this simply can't be beat. I only wish I had it for longer!
